The special cleanliness drive focusing hygienic environment in the Railway premises, Waltair Division of East Coast Railway conducted cleanliness drives from 10th August to 16th August2020. The week long Cleanliness drive concluded today leaving a message of committed efforts to achieve Swachh Bharat. A large number of Officers and Staff took part in cleanliness activities at Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam, Rayagada, Koraput, Jagdalpur etc stations, work places and colony areas. To create awareness among the travelling public leaflets were distributed and banners displayed at stations. Divisional Railway Manager  Chetan Kumar Shrivastava stressed the importance of the drive and said that such drives shall be organized regularly so that the goal of hygienic environment is achieved. He also underlined the need of public cooperation and active participation without which the mission of Swachh Rail-Swachh Bharat cannot be achieved. The Civil Defence, Scouts & Guides cadets also took active role in the cleanliness drive.
